The Network Analyst manages and supports the technical infrastructure that keeps campus operations running smoothly, with an annual salary of $79,844. This role will oversee campus networks, switching, routing, wireless systems, firewalls, cabling, security protocols, and connected systems while troubleshooting issues and maintaining performance standards.
Responsibilities:- Provide technical support for college-wide data networks, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, WANs, Wireless networking, and TCP/IP protocols
- Install and maintain hardware and software critical to network operations, including switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls
- Perform copper and fiber optic cable termination and testing according to industrial standards while identifying and resolving cabling problems
- Monitor system performance and security while creating and maintaining management and performance monitoring scripts
- Work as a team member with data center staff to configure, deploy, secure, and troubleshoot host-based network services
- Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of IT experience focused on networking
- Required technical knowledge: TCP/IP, routed networks, LAN/WAN, switching, routing
- Preferred qualifications:
Cisco CCNA or higher certification, Cisco equipment experience, Python, Power Shell, Unix shell scripting, Visio, AutoCAD, fiber and copper cabling expertise, additional networking-focused training or certifications
