Delta-T Group is a national broker and referral service for specialized healthcare and educational professionals. Our services connect clients with professionals possessing a wide range of experience, training, degrees, certifications, and licenses in fields such as social services, psychiatry, occupational therapy, speech pathology, special education, mental health, addictions treatment, allied therapies, and pharmacy. We primarily provide supplemental staffing services to school districts, hospitals, mental health centers, outpatient facilities, and residential homes.
Job Description The primary responsibility is to facilitate nursing activities by utilizing the nursing process—assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation—and to interact effectively with staff and health team members while maintaining professional nursing standards.
Specific
Responsibilities Include:
Monitor the level of prescription medication available to clients.Coordinate psychiatric face-to-face consultations with clients, including ensuring charts are available and providing clinical feedback to psychiatrists.Order prescriptions from pharmacy.Receive prescriptions from pharmacy.Deliver prescriptions to residential clients.Receive, review, record, and execute physician’s orders.Maintain medication logs and document necessary dosage changes as per physician orders in both day and residential programs.Administer medications and perform other nursing procedures as ordered by physicians.Conduct medication education and training sessions for staff and clients twice yearly, or more frequently if necessary. Provide medication orientation to new staff during their first week.Coordinate laboratory testing services, including identifying clients in need, preparing slips, evaluating results, and documenting findings.Perform Pre-Admission Screening functions.Conduct admission and discharge nursing assessments, including timely charting and filing.Conduct health assessment screenings on all admissions.Participate in multidisciplinary staffing and clinical team meetings.Provide medical consultations to staff and clients, and assist in planning and implementing interventions.Accompany staff to physician appointments for high-risk clients.Document all activities thoroughly.Attend training programs to update professional skills.Ensure medication is always securely stored and never left unsupervised.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
At least 1 year of medical detox experience on a detox unit.
