School Registered Nurse | Des Plaines, Illinois

Step into a rewarding school nursing opportunity supporting students in grades 6-8, with additional coverage for the elementary level as needed. This contract position spans from January 6, 2027 through June 4, 2027, with a schedule of 32.5 hours per week (8:30 AM to 3:40 PM, weekdays, with a 40-minute unpaid lunch). Youll be a key part of the health services team, impacting the well-being and academic experience of over 1,000 students across two schools.

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Current CPR and BLS certifications
• Experience working with children or adolescents
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Provide direct nursing care to students at Field Middle School
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Respond to medical emergencies with professionalism and composure
• Administer prescribed medications and manage chronic conditions
• Support health education and wellness initiatives for students and staff
• Liaise with parents, teachers, and administration to coordinate care
• Occasionally support elementary students within the district as needed
