Overview

Role: Quality Control Analyst (Entry Level) –
Location: Des Plaines, IL

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Quality Control Analyst to join our team in the pharmaceutical industry. This role provides hands-on experience in laboratory testing, supporting compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, scientifically curious, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products in compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct analytical testing using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, and wet chemistry methods.
  • Accurately document test results in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
  • Assist in calibration, operation, and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
  • Support method validation, stability studies, and data analysis under supervision of senior analysts.
  • Participate in investigations, deviations, and CAPA activities related to laboratory testing.
  • Ensure laboratory safety, cleanliness, and compliance with SOPs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Manufacturing, R&D) to resolve testing and quality issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related scientific field.
  • Basic knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and pharmaceutical laboratory practices.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and eagerness to learn.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Internship, project work, or academic lab experience in QC or analytical testing is preferred.
