. We are looking for a candidate with at least 2 years of sous chef experience in a full‑service restaurant to lead our back‑of‑house team at Bub City Rosemont, Chicagoland’s destination for barbecue, whiskey, and live country music.

• Run BOH shifts and ensure effective and efficient operations including food prep and cooking, inventory levels, and supervision of all BOH teams.
• Lead BOH pre‑shift meetings; participate in line, temp, cooler checks, and food tastings.
• Partner with GM and managers/chefs to review and maintain recipe books.
• Perform regular line checks to ensure quality of all menu items.
• Purchase and order food product and supplies; assist with tracking and controlling food cost.
• Communicate food production and timing issues, needs, and special requests between FOH and BOH.
• Partner with GM and management to interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise, and develop BOH staff.
• Model and promote teamwork across all teams; use tact, good judgment, patience, and courtesy in dealing with guests, vendors, and employees.
• Work a variety of days and shifts (including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and occasional overnight travel). Move and lift up to 50 lb as needed.

• 2–3 years of sous chef experience in a full‑service restaurant.
• Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
