Overview

Meat Cutter and Wrapper at Sam's Club. The position involves working in the meat department to cut, wrap, package, and display meat items, while prioritizing quality and customer service.

What you’ll do

Be a Team Member:
Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with team members; and is flexible to work in other areas as needed.

Be an Expert:
Demonstrates knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepares meat products according to established standards; cuts boneless meat products; and maintains product quality standards.

Be a Techie:
Uses digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; uses handheld technology to make decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.

Be an Owner:
Maintains operational excellence; keeps work area compliant with policies; ensures quality and date control standards for meat products; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; and ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with policies.

Be a Talent Ambassador:
Advocates for the department and club by valuing the member experience in meat; models high quality service and products; demonstrates energy, commitment, and passion for the work.

Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these practices in business processes.

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; and adapts to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $24.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Premiums may apply in specific circumstances based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.
