Are you a Sales and Business Development professional who is passionate about driving growth for diverse market segments and looking for an opportunity to grow your career? As the Heating Cable Systems Sales Director, you'll serve as a key member of our global Sales team, driving growth, attracting new customers, developing sales strategies and managing a sales team responsible for the Nelson Heat Trace and Easy Heat brands.
This opportunity is based in Appleton Group's Sales HQ.
- Develop & lead a team of sales managers working in the industrial, commercial and residential heat trace and freeze protection markets in the US and Canada
- Evaluate, develop, recruit and execute an independent sales representative and distribution strategy to grow the industrial and commercial heat trace market
- Develop and execute seasonal programs for strategic retail accounts
- Set goals and measure performance of sales organization
- Develop a process for managing the project pursuit funnel and increasing hit rate
- Facilitate & coordinate sales input for the production planning team
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with key end users and distribution partners

Requirements- A bachelor's degree in industrial distribution, business or engineering, or a closely related field
- Relevant years in electrical or industrial distribution work experience with sales channel management and previous sales team management experience commensurate with the level of this position
- A minimum of 50% travel is required
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role
- 10+ years of work experience in electrical or industrial distribution
- 5+ years of sales channel management and previous sales team management experience
- Experience with Salesforce, Sales cloud or other CRM systems
- MBA
The salary range is $155,000 – $200,000 with a 15% center‑point bonus annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to the role.
