Job Overview

As a Contract Logistics Specialist, you will manage end‑to‑end warehousing operations for our customers, ensuring precision and supporting daily operations in the warehouse and distribution centers. The Inventory Control Analyst will conduct analytical investigations, resolve discrepancies across all customer sites, and support worldwide inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and audits.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with investigations to determine root cause and properly disposition discrepancies.
  • Create and work grief notifications for discrepancies that require assistance from other organizational groups through SAP workflow.
  • Provide cross‑functional support to Finance, Logistics Agents, and Customer Service with inventory‑related issues such as pick exceptions, grief notifications, RTS, and QC2 movements.
  • Reconcile inventory‑related issues such as serial number changes, adjustments, batch issues, block stock, and PO/MRA reversals.
  • Process expedited parts through the Deployment Critical Hotsheet Database.
  • Create scrap documentation for monthly metrics and physical scrapping of parts.
  • Process MRAs and cores to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure all issues are entered into the corresponding database with integrity to formulate measurable group metrics and reporting.
  • Facilitate and participate in department meetings.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area and perform operations that promote safety.
  • Adhere to Kuehne+Nagel’s Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment program policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • High School Graduate / GED required.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Computer skills:
    Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and material logistics key business processes and governance.
  • Planning and organizational skills to prioritize, assign, and coordinate the workload of assigned areas and employees within a multi‑project setting.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze and document.
  • Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Communication skills to work effectively with a variety of individuals and departments.
  • Physical requirements:

    frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, stooping; lifting, lowering, pushing, or pulling items of varied weight; work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
  • Professional certification is a plus.
  • Related work experience required.
