Part‑time Program Manager positions are available for after‑school site programs in the Desoto School District Schools. The role requires Monday through Friday hours from approximately 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour depending on experience and education.

All candidates must provide proof of the qualifications listed below, such as transcripts or verifiable reference letters, during the interview process.

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character‑building that expands school‑day learning.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well‑being of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fitness activities, and guiding play.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Meet regularly with the Area Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.

• 70 clock hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership, or management.
• At least one year of experience in a licensed program; one year of supervisor/management experience.
• Minimum age 21 years with a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love of learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Ability to meet state‑specific requirements (CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills with varied audiences.

• Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs (repeated in requirements).
