Position OverviewPart‑time Program Manager positions are available for after‑school site programs in the Desoto School District Schools. The role requires Monday through Friday hours from approximately 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour depending on experience and education.
Proof of QualificationAll candidates must provide proof of the qualifications listed below, such as transcripts or verifiable reference letters, during the interview process.
Responsibilities- Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character‑building that expands school‑day learning.
- Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well‑being of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fitness activities, and guiding play.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
- Meet regularly with the Area Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.
- 70 clock hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership, or management.
- At least one year of experience in a licensed program; one year of supervisor/management experience.
- Minimum age 21 years with a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Drive to inspire a love of learning and commitment to healthy living.
- Ability to meet state‑specific requirements (CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills with varied audiences.
- Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs (repeated in requirements).
