The Bilingual Clinical Supervisor provides clinical leadership, direction, supervision, and support to PA clinicians serving participants through the HCBS-AMH program. This position is responsible for promoting high-quality, person-centered services while ensuring clinical documentation, interventions, and service delivery meet applicable HCBS-AMH, Medicaid, State, Federal, and organizational requirements.
The Clinical Supervisor works closely with PA clinicians, participants, administrators, RM/RME staff, HHSC representatives, hospital social workers, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. The position plays a key role in clinical quality, staff development, documentation compliance, utilization oversight, and coordination of participant services.
The ideal candidate is an experienced behavioral health professional with strong leadership, clinical judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of community-based behavioral health services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Supervision- Provide clinical direction, supervision, consultation, and support to PA clinicians.
- Provide feedback to clinicians regarding clinical interventions, treatment approaches, service delivery, and participant needs.
- Review clinician progress notes and provide timely feedback to improve the quality, accuracy, and compliance of documentation.
- Ensure progress notes meet applicable Medicaid, State, Federal, HCBS-AMH, and organizational requirements.
- Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and consistency with participant service plans.
- Assist clinicians with complex participant situations and clinical problem-solving.
- Support clinicians in developing effective, person-centered interventions.
- Monitor clinician performance and provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and professional development.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual employee performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Oversee compliance with HCBS-AMH legal policies, program guidelines, requirements, and standards of care.
- Assist with the development, review, and updating of program policies and procedures to support compliance.
- Ensure clinicians remain current with required training and program updates.
- Assist with the development and updating of training materials for PA clinicians.
- Participate in Quality Management (QM) activities and assist with identifying and correcting documentation deficiencies.
- Monitor documentation and service delivery for compliance with applicable Medicaid regulations.
- Assist with resolving overlapping services, documentation discrepancies, and other compliance concerns.
- Complete and/or contribute to HCBS-AMH quarterly and annual reports as required.
- Participate in Utilization Management (UM) activities to ensure services are delivered at appropriate frequencies and within approved requirements.
- Monitor frequency and utilization of services and identify potential discrepancies or concerns.
