Overhaul Warehouse Technician III - 2nd Shift

Position Overview

This position is accountable for supporting the movement of material for the overhaul of turbine engines and related equipment through the overhaul process utilizing standard warehousing, inventory control and material movement processes within a manufacturing environment. This is a 2nd shift position.

• Works independently with minimal supervision and provides direction to other less experienced technicians associated with inventory and packaging activities.
• Ensures proper preservation of material to maintain highest quality.
• Delivers material to upstream customers on time with accurate documentation.
• Contributes to daily safety responsibilities and 5S requirements.
• Participates in Safety and 5S weekly/monthly audits.
• Participates on process improvement teams within primary area and across departmental boundaries.
• Provides solutions to complex inventory and packaging activities.
• Interfaces with internal, external suppliers and customers.

• Experience in a warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or remanufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment such as overhead crane, forklifts, order picker and pallet jacks safely.
• Ability to properly store and handle large pieces of equipment.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, familiar with MS Excel, Word, BAAN and RF scanners.
• Knowledge of standard professional principles, theories and basic concepts of warehousing, logistics and material movement.

• Associate degree.
• 1+ year(s) of experience in warehousing and/or operating shop equipment.

• Repetitive lifting/moving of parts weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Standing for prolonged periods with frequent breaks.
• Work weekends.
• Operate machinery at elevated positions.
• Work within hearing conservation areas.
