Position Summary:
Receives, stores, ships, and distributes heating and air conditioning parts, supplies, materials, tools, equipment, and products which may include Order Puller, forklift operator, order checker, stocker, receiver, or order tagger.
- Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes the items.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets, shelves, or conveys orders to the packing station or shipping department.
- Straightens work area and fronts merchandise for easy and accurate access.
- Receives materials from suppliers, opens containers (bales, crates, etc.), and marks items with identifying information for easy tracking.
- Maintains precise record-keeping of received and distributed items and conducts inventory records.
- Weighs and counts items to ensure accurate distribution and compliance with company standards.
- Arrange stock parts in a specific sequence for assembly lines to ensure production efficiency.
- Perform general housekeeping, including cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and removing clutter from the work area.
- Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Experience with data entry and inventory management systems preferred.
- Ability to pass and maintain Forklift certification.
- Physical ability to lift and handle products safely.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Regularly talk, hear, read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving material.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- One year HVAC industry experience
- General knowledge of HVAC products preferred
- None
- Required to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, reach, twist, stretch, kneel, squat, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and move about the facility for the entirety of the shift.
- Location of position:
DeSoto, TX - Background checks and drug tests required
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Work will generally be performed in a retail work & warehouse environment.
- May be exposed to warehouse/shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils.
- May be required to work hours other than the regular schedule
