The Destin Chamber of Commerce is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team. This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our members, visitors, and community.
The Information Specialist will serve as one of the first points of contact for the Chamber, providing excellent customer service to individuals who call, email, or visit the front desk. Responsibilities include handling inquiries, directing calls, and ensuring all guests feel welcome and well assisted.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
- Managing monthly billing, posting payments, and maintaining accurate records
- Coordinating and scheduling use of the Chamber’s conference room
- Maintaining and updating the Chamber’s membership database
- Preparing and processing bulk mailings
- Stocking and organizing member brochures in the Chamber’s Welcome Center to keep information up to date for guests
- Providing on-site support at all Chamber events, assisting staff, members, and attendees as needed
This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Strong computer skills and experience in database management are a must. The ideal candidate is a team player with a professional demeanor who enjoys interacting with a wide variety of people.
