Specialty Services Manager

The Industrial Cleaning Technician is responsible for the overall cleanliness of tile, carpet, flooring concrete, and pavers of The Emerald Grande and Harborwalk Village.

Full-time. Able to work a.m. and/or p.m. Flexibility is a must!

• Spot cleaning on flooring and furniture
• Use Buffers and hard surface cleaners to clean tile
• Drive Zamboni to sweep and clean pavers and parking garage
• pressure wash flooring, balconies, and exterior building
• Painting when old paint has become faded or chipped
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of shop and equipment.
• Execute general physical tasks as directed by department leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with confidence. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Previous knowledge of carpet, tile, concrete cleaning, and pressure washing.

• Attention to detail and an ability to ensure cleanliness.
• Must display confidence in the safe operation of heavy equipment.
• Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with guests and coworkers harmoniously. Customer service must be a priority.
• Ability to handle multiple operational demands with a high degree of professionalism, operating often with time-sensitive deadlines.
• Competent in the use of computers and a willingness to work in the work order system daily.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple and/or complex correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and/or coworkers.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Problem-solving skills.

Open and operational seven days a week. Employees are required to be available on workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays. Rotating shift work during the busy season

Valid driver’s license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.

All employees must adhere to all safety rules and regulations required by local, State, and Federal authorities, wear the appropriate personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job safely, and will follow all safety rules per the Company’s Safety Policy.

Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
