Retail Sales Crew Member; Destin, FL

We are hiring seasonal retail crew members for our Kitty Hawk Store and Life is Good store in Destin, FL.

Retail crew members are front‑line employees who deliver a "wow" factor for the retail customers. An excellent Retail Crew Member will have excellent customer service skills, an eye for detail to keep the retail environment clean and shoppable, and will be an ambassador for the brand.

• Ensure an enthusiastic and professional level of customer service at all times, including working well with all ages of the general public.
• Accurately and efficiently ring up customer sales.
• Maintain an orderly appearance of the register area.
• Maintain awareness of current promotions and advertisements.
• Adhere to all company policies and guidelines.
• Maintain the sales floor, including folding shirts, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of one year of relevant work experience preferred.
• Experience in the retail field preferred.

• Basic computer skills with ability to learn register.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers and guests.
• Ability to learn tasks quickly and accurately.
• Ability to multi‑task.

• The work environment is generally an indoor controlled environment with moderate noise levels.
• May be requested to work overtime and weekends during the company's in‑season time period.

About one‑third of the time will be spent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. One‑third to two‑thirds of the time will be spent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. The position requires lifting up to 25 lbs. Continuous computer work, cash register work, sales floor work, events work, and mail order work are also part of the role.
