During official training weeks, Managers In Training work with a Training Manager to gain insights and best practices for running a convenience store. Between training weeks, they work a variety of shifts alongside team members, applying leadership skills in real‑time. After training, they join our bench leadership team to cover absences until they are assigned to their own store.
What You’ll Do- Greet guests with a warm welcome and a smile, delivering exceptional customer service.
- Assist the Store Manager in building a strong team—training, scheduling, and coaching team members. Set clear goals, hold yourself and others accountable, and communicate effectively.
- Monitor product levels on the sales floor, rotate stock, and maintain full inventory.
- Oversee quality control, merchandising, and food safety programs for locations that offer hot food.
- Maintain cleanliness of the store, including interior, exterior, coffee station, food service area, and bathrooms.
- Operate the cash register efficiently.
- In hot‑food locations, support the Store Manager with additional quality control and safety responsibilities as directed.
Minimum Education: High School or GED
Preferred Education: (optional)
Minimum Experience: 1 year retail or food experience
Preferred Experience: 1 year in retail, guest service or restaurant, in a leadership role
Preferred Licenses/Certifications and
Skills:
Serv Safe or Food Safety certification is a plus but not mandatory
- Comfortable interacting with guests and team members
- High energy
- Ability to transition quickly between activities
- Team oriented; willing to give extra effort to help others
- Computer skills helpful
This full‑time position requires a variety of hours—day, night, weekday, weekend, and holiday. Overtime up to 5 hours is expected.
Hours & ConditionsFull‑time – 40 regular hours per week with up to 5 hours overtime.
Travel5% expected. Ability to deliver deposits independently, with a personal vehicle where applicable.
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 10 pounds routinely, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 40 pounds occasionally; stand and walk 8 hours a day; reach, bend, squat, twist, grasp, and work in cooler temperatures. Work noise level is moderate.
OtherSpecialized attire required in food establishments (hats or visors, gloves, etc.), provided by the company.
