HVAC Mechanic

Keep Mission-Critical Healthcare Facilities Running

Our client is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install HVAC and refrigeration systems supporting medical treatment facilities at Eglin Air Force Base
.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HVAC professional to work in a mission-critical healthcare environment
, maintaining complex mechanical systems and helping ensure reliable facility operations.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, AHUs, fan coil units, DX systems, controls, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Service air handling units
  , including filters, bearings, motors, belts, and alignment.
• Monitor and support Building Automation Systems (BAS) and temperature tracking systems.
• Complete work orders and preventive maintenance documentation using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Track refrigerant usage, loss, procurement, and storage in accordance with government standards.
• Support HVAC shutdown testing, water treatment coordination, and other facility maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manufacturer specifications, and equipment literature
  .
• Specify and order replacement parts and materials as needed.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout, safety, quality, and infection-control procedures
  .
• Participate in weekly safety meetings and coordinate work to minimize disruption to healthcare operations.

• 3+ years of applicable HVAC experience.
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare facilities.
• Certification through a nationally recognized HVAC certification program.
• Current HVAC license OR military journeyman-level 5 or higher documented on DD214.
• Current EPA 608 Universal CFC certification in accordance with Clean Air Act requirements.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and mechanical drawings and manufacturer documentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to understand and implement healthcare infection-control policies and procedures.
• Must complete OSHA 10 General Industry Safety & Health training (provided by employer).
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment, including kitchen hoods, refrigerators, steam tables, and freezers.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and healthcare facility maintenance.
