Furniture Delivery Driver Assistant

Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc. is seeking energetic individuals to support our Delivery Drivers by ensuring safe, timely, and professional delivery and setup of furniture in customers’ homes. Candidates should be motivated, team‑oriented, and committed to delivering superior customer service, integrity, quality, and teamwork.

• Operate the delivery vehicle safely and courteously when required.
• Deliver and set up furniture at customers’ residences.
• Maintain high performance by staying within customer delivery time windows.
• Accurately record delivery transactions using a mobile device or supplied paperwork.
• Unload and load products at customers’ homes, the warehouse, or the showroom as needed.
• Assist in the warehouse or showroom whenever necessary.

Shifts begin at 7:30 am and continue until completion. Typical routes run 4 (10 hrs or more) or 5 (8 hrs or more) days per week, excluding Sundays.

• Base pay starts at $18.50 per hour, increasing with experience.

• Minimum age 18 years.
• No prior delivery experience required, though preferred; training will be provided.
• Current driver’s license and a clean driving record with minimal moving violations.
• Willingness and ability to push, pull, and repeatedly team lift 150 pounds during the shift.
• Capacity to obtain DOT certification (company‑paid).
• Pass background check and drug screen, including THC testing.

• Must complete a physical assessment before employment.
• Must be able to move 150 pounds, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling furniture.
• Role involves driving, entering and exiting customers’ homes, and handling materials safely.
