Job Description

Provides therapeutic and diagnostic services to patients and families, including individual, group, and family therapy, mental health intake assessments, diagnostics, and coordination of treatment services. May be required to provide Minnesota DHS Clinical Supervision for Partial Hospitalization Programs.

St Marys - Detroit Lakes Clinic, Day Rotation. Part‑time or full‑time schedule;
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Work within an interdisciplinary team of primary care providers, psychologists, licensed social workers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and psychiatrists.
• Regularly scheduled interdisciplinary case consultations.
• Outpatient caseload.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

• Collaborate with primary care providers to treat and manage mental health and psychosocial issues.
• Conduct client intakes, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations; make recommendations concerning treatment goals and plans.
• Provide consultation to other team members to enhance their effectiveness in treating mental health concerns.
• Give timely feedback to primary care providers through documentation and verbal communication.
• Assist clients with community functioning resources such as public benefits, vocational rehabilitation, social support, and housing.
• Document client progress and diagnostic information in the EMR and ensure appropriate billing.
• Apply behavioral principles to address lifestyle and health risk issues.
• Collaborate and consult with team members in the treatment of mental health disorders and psychosocial issues.

Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, clinical counseling, psychology, or another discipline that meets eligibility requirements for licensure in the primary state of practice. New graduates may be considered.

• Experience in a medical or behavioral health setting.
• Experience providing care to a diverse population.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and complete accurate and thorough documentation.

• Licensed to practice psychotherapy in the state in which the position is based; licensed or license‑eligible to provide telehealth services in other states.
• Must obtain a license in North Dakota and in Minnesota within six months of hire.
• State specific credentials:
  North Dakota – LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LPCC;
  Minnesota – LICSW, LMFT, LPC, or LPCC.
• Accredited as a Clinical Supervisor for the Minnesota Board of Social Work within first year of hire (East Market only).

• LGSW, MFT, LPC, LAMFT – Non‑Credentialed Therapist: $29.81–$44.72 per hour.
• LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW – Credentialed Therapist: $33.57–$50.36 per hour.
