Responsible for providing direct care to skilled nursing facility residents and for serving the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, within the scope of the nursing assistant role. Provides personal hygiene care, assists with nutritional needs, recognizes and addresses problems related to the aging process, promptly reports changes in resident condition to the shift nurse, and maintains a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents.

Must be aware of and prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health skilled nursing facility. Maintains awareness of safety issues and strives to accomplish all responsibilities safely. Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective actions.

• Provide direct care to residents in a skilled nursing facility.
• Perform personal hygiene care.
• Assist with nutritional needs.
• Recognize and address issues related to the aging process.
• Promptly report changes in resident condition to the shift nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for residents.
• Avoid abuse of vulnerable adults and report any concerns.
• Identify safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective actions.

• Current registration on the applicable state nursing assistant registry or obtain within 4 months of hire/transfer.
• If transitioning from the Nursing Assistant – Student position, must have registration upon hire/transfer.
• Available for evening shifts: 2:00PM – 10:30PM or 4:00PM – 10:30PM. No weekends required.
• FTE: 1

Compensation range: $18.71 – $28.07 per hour.
