NP​/PA - Emergency Medicine; FTE - Detroit Lakes, MN

Job Description

Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills. Works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals to provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. May care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, developing care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in an emergency department setting.

• Master’s or Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution.
• Previous Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience preferred.
• Must be able to see patients of all ages.

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the appropriate state (if NP).
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the appropriate state.
• Current certification in CPR.
• National certification in the applicable area (e.g., ACLS, PALS, ATLS).
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process before practice.
• Must be able to see patients of all ages.

• Centrally located in the heart of Minnesota lakes country.
• 45 minutes from Fargo, ND, and 3 hours from the Twin Cities.
• Qualifying NHSC Loan Repayment Site.
