Bus Driver
for our
Detroit Lakes Head Start Sites. The purpose of this position is to transport children to/from Head Start on a daily basis including field trips. Responsible for cleaning and inspecting the bus and child restraints as well as assisting with maintenance. Go home each day knowing you made a difference in the life of a child!

Pay: $20.44 - $21.95

Schedule: Part Time, Day Shift, Monday – Thursday, 16 hours/weekwith summer layoff

Location: Detroit Lakes, MN

• In addition to the Bus Driver, there is a bus monitor on all Head Start Buses
• All children (ages 2-5) are secured in a 5 point harness
• Head Start buses are small, X weight, 16 passenger

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

• HS Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of driving experience.
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Standards and Minnesota transportation regulations.
• Able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.
• Must be able to apply common sense solutions in standardized situations.
• Must be able to work in a positive and cooperative manner with parents, children and staff.
• Must effectively and appropriately address young children including typical behavior situations.
• Must honor private and confidential information.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must possess valid MN commercial driver license with passenger endorse mentor be willing to obtain.
• Must have acceptable driving record.
