LBN Property Management is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accounting Professional to manage the financial health of a diverse single family home real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting, with a proven ability to handle complex transactions and maintain seamless relationships with owners, tenants, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    Prepare and review monthly financial statements for a portfolio of properties, ensuring all ownership requirements and deadlines are met.
  • General Ledger Management:
    Perform monthly bank reconciliations, income reconciliations, and review all balance sheet accounts and supporting schedules.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    Collaborate with management to prepare annual budgets and monthly estimates; analyze and research budget variances and year-to-date trends.
  • Lease Administration:
    Review and enter new leases into the accounting system, ensuring accurate billing adjustments and tenant ledger maintenance.
  • AR/AP Oversight:
    Process invoices daily, post payments to tenant ledgers, and manage monthly billing statements.
  • Compliance & Year-End:
    Reconcile CAM and Tax charges annually; prepare comprehensive year-end work paper packages for outside CPA audits and tax returns.
  • Complex Transactions:
    Assist in recording and analyzing intricate real estate activity, including recapitalizations, refinancing, and construction/development projects.
  • Stakeholder

    Collaboration:

    Act as a primary point of contact for Property Managers and Owners to resolve accounting issues and clarify financial results.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience:

    5–10+ years of experience in property accounting / real estate accounting.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Advanced knowledge of Yardi or Property Management software is highly preferred.
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel (for CAM reconciliations and budgeting) are required.
  • Core Knowledge:
    Mastery of GAAP principles, T-accounts, and financial statement preparation.
  • Specialized

    Skills:

    Experience managing escrow accounts (taxes/insurance) and replacement reserve accounts.
  • Education:

    Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Ability to manage high-volume portfolios.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for maintaining third-party client and vendor relationships.
