Controller, Accounting, Financial Compliance

Job Description

A partner of Insight Global is looking for a Controller to lead all accounting and financial reporting activities across multiple consumer brands and legal entities. This role oversees financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, audit and tax coordination, and period‑end close while partnering closely with the CFO and senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, high‑integrity leader who thrives in fast‑paced, multi‑entity environments and drives continuous improvement.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions including A/P, A/R, payroll, cost accounting, and month‑end/year‑end close.
• Communicate financial results, trends, and insights to executive leadership.
• Establish, maintain, and improve internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Partner on documenting and standardizing accounting processes and workflows.
• Serve as primary liaison for external auditors and manage audit execution.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, and KPI reporting.
• Collaborate with operations on inventory management and cost accounting.
• Drive process improvements with a target five‑day close.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance teams across entities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance experience.
• Experience in multi‑entity and/or manufacturing environments.
• ERP experience required;
  Net Suite strongly preferred.
• High integrity, strong attention to detail, and ability to operate in changing environments.
• Experience in consumer products, retail, e‑commerce, or omni‑channel businesses.
• CPA and/or Master’s degree.
• Inventory experience with centralized distribution and 3PL providers.
• Experience with Shopify, Power BI, Microsoft tools, Data Lake, or Azure.
• Background in change management, shared services, or enterprise system implementations.
