Adecco Permanent Recruitment is representing a growing manufacturing organization in the Greater Saginaw area in the search for an experienced Senior Accountant
.
This is a hands-on accounting position with a strong focus on cost accounting, plant financial reporting, inventory, and general ledger accounting
. The Senior Accountant will work closely with finance leadership and operations and will have visibility across multiple areas of the business.
This could be a great opportunity for someone currently working as a Senior Accountant, Cost Accountant, Plant Accountant, or experienced Staff Accountant who is ready to take on broader responsibility within a manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Support month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
- Maintain and analyze job costing and manufacturing cost information
- Review inventory activity, costing, and cycle-count results
- Support plant-level financial reporting and analysis
- Assist with cash-flow and financial forecasting
- Review intercompany activity and account balances
- Support annual budgeting and year-end audit requirements
- Partner with operations and finance leadership on reporting, analysis, and special projects
- Help maintain accurate financial controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Cost accounting experience strongly preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analytical, organized, and comfortable working independently
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operational teams
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
