Staff Accountant - Newaygo Area

Salary Range: $62,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements monthly, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Support the annual external audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, material, and overhead variances.
• Process accounts payable invoices and expense reports for timely and accurate payment.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation for all company assets.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with inventory costing and fixed asset accounting

• Additional certifications or training
