To perform basic accounting functions such as ledger/fund maintenance, payroll, fund reconciliation, posting, and fiscal control of inventory. To prepare financial reports and resolve problems related to funds, budgets, expenditures, reimbursements, and/or procurement practices.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or completion of a post-bachelor's Accounting certificate program.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Knowledge of standard accounting principles, concepts, and procedures.
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related financial and/or accounting software applications.

- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports.
- Ability to set up and maintain financial accounts and ledgers.
- Analyzes accounts, records, reports, and accounts receivable and payable, journal vouchers, general and subsidiary ledgers, and other accounting documents for accuracy and completeness; investigates and resolves questionable entries.
- Monitors departmental or unit revenue and expense accounts; ensures expenditure control and compliance with funding and reporting requirements, university policy, and standard accounting procedures.
- Prepares recurring reports such as monthly financial statements, leave, and personnel activity reports; processes vouchers and purchase orders.
- Prepares, reviews, and processes budget, revenue, expense, payroll, and related correcting entries.
- Reconciles financial statements and fixed assets.
- Interacts and trains departmental staff regarding finance policies and procedures and funding requirements; liaises with vendors, funding source representatives, and patients.
Requires occasional exposure to bio-hazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, frequent activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, frequent bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, frequent reaching, constant sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and frequent walking.
