Position: ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze data from a variety of sources; summarize data, prepare documents and briefing material; coordinate with stakeholders; provide quality review of documents produced.
  • Serve as Administrative Officer providing management with objectively based information for making decisions on the management, administrative, and personnel aspects of the organization.
  • As key advisor and principal staff member, provide accurate interpretation and guidance concerning the latest changes in administrative regulations and procedures.
  • Perform, provide, obtain, and/or advise on a variety of management services essential to the direction and efficient operation of the organization.
  • Prepare and/or consolidate all administrative reports required for the Division.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs and other organizations. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, transcripts will be required.

For the GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes administrative experience with federal personnel record keeping and processing of federal personnel actions; utilize automated tools related to human resource and financial management; and utilize standard office automation tools and programs. OR education: one full academic year of graduate-level education in a field such as Business Administration or related field. OR combination of education and experience with a computed percentage of at least 100%.

For the GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes analytical and evaluative skill to perform qualitative and quantitative assessments of work processes, budget data, personnel utilization; develop program plans and work methods; utilization of automated tools related to human resource requests and financial management; and administrative experience in scheduling and arranging federal travel and training requirements. OR education:
Master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education. OR combination of education and experience with a computed percentage of at least 100%.

For GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes administrative experience with federal personnel record keeping and processing federal personnel actions; experience in applying fact‑finding and investigative techniques to gather evidence; develop plans and schedules; and conduct projects and studies targeted to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operating processes; utilize automated tools related to human resource and financial management; experience using standard office automation tools and programs.

OR education:
Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education. OR combination of education and experience with a computed percentage of at least 100%.
