In accordance with the Agreement between the Detroit Association of Educational Office Employees (DAEOE) and the Detroit Public Schools Community District, the following vacancy is announced:
The Division of School Nutrition is looking for a Technical Series Level III to assist the Program Supervisor-Compliance with maintaining files and documents that support the accountability that for
¿ required proficiency of school meal counts as outlined United States Department of Agriculture.
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Serv Safe Certificate or ability to obtain Serv Safe Certification within 90 days.
- State of Michigan Vehicle Operator's License.
- Ability to critically assess situations and solve problems, and to work effectively under stress, with deadlines and changes in work priorities.
- Ability to use basic office equipment such as telephone, calculator, photocopier, fax, and computer with applicable software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email/internet/world wide web.
- Significant experience and capability in the use of Microsoft Office 365.
- Audit and monitor school meal counts daily.
- Track and recognize National School Lunch Program and Child and Adult Care Food Program meal patterns.
- Works cooperatively and provide administrative support to Division of School Nutrition Area Managers.
- Collect weekly production records, student count sheets and student rosters from assigned schools.
- Obtain, compile, organize, and prepare documents and data for various reports, ensuring information packages are complete and meet guidelines for compliance with Detroit Public Schools Community District policy as well as state and federal regulations.
- Provide technical assistance and administrative support to members of the Divion of School Nutrition as they work to complete key projects.
- Proficient with using the LINQ Software and data entry.
- Recognize key aspects of the meal production records
- Organize and maintain current weeks and months paperwork.
- Maintain past months paperwork for data retention.
- Occasionally monitor school kitchen to better understand the scope of the business.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Program Supervisor - Compliance or designee.
