ATC Healthcare is currently looking for experienced administrative techs for openings in the admissions dept. at Wayne County Juvenuile Detention in Detroit, MI
All applicants must possess and active and valid drivers license, be able to pass a drug screen and pass a criminal background check.
Job DescriptionThe Administrative Technician 1, under the direction of the Department Supervisor, will be assigned to
the Juvenile Detention Facility and will process clerical tasks for the admitting area.
Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesRequired Knowledge
- Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, transcription, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Customer and Personal Service
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

- Responsible for personal property including cell phones, jewelry, money, etc. that is stored in the onsite safe.
- Provide emergency assistance as necessary.
- Provide for and ensure the humane treatment of juvenile residents.
- Escheat inmate clothing according to facility policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties deemed necessary.
Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Candidates must receive clearance from Child Welfare Licensing/Child Protective Services to work in a child caring institution. Candidates that have lived outside of the State of Michigan must provide clearance from that State.
