Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead ground-up and interior renovation projects throughout the Detroit metro area. This is a hands-on field leadership role for someone who thrives on jobsite presence, coordination, and delivering high-quality commercial projects safely and on schedule.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews to maintain schedule and quality
- Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements
- Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and project milestones
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and inspectors
- Track progress and proactively resolve field issues
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
- Experience with ground-up and tenant improvement projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of commercial building systems and sequencing
- Proven ability to lead crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment
- Strong scheduling, problem-solving, and communication skills
