Colasanti is seeking experienced Layout Engineers to join our growing Line and Grade Department and support upcoming high‑rise construction projects across the Metro Detroit Area.

• Perform accurate field layout, surveying, and line‑and‑grade control for all phases of construction
• Translate design drawings, plans, and specifications into precise on‑site layout and execution
• Establish, maintain, and verify project control points, benchmarks, and reference lines
• Ensure layout accuracy for foundations, structural elements, embeds, sleeves, and anchor bolts
• Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and trade partners to support efficient construction sequencing
• Verify work is installed in accordance with approved drawings, tolerances, and project requirements
• Identify and communicate discrepancies or conflicts in plans and assist with field resolutions
• Support quality control by maintaining consistent layout accuracy throughout the life of the project
• Assist with as‑built documentation and field verification as required
• Utilize surveying and layout equipment effectively (total stations, levels, GPS, etc.)
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with site safety standards
• Support high‑rise and large‑scale commercial construction projects (experience preferred)
