- Prepare detailed estimates for a variety of project pursuits, including hard-bid, negotiated, design-build, and conceptual opportunities
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to support accurate pricing and project understanding
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Perform quantity take-offs and organize pricing data to develop comprehensive estimates
- Develop detailed scopes of work for subcontractors and project execution teams
- Solicit and evaluate bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers
- Coordinate with trade partners to clarify scope, pricing, and project requirements
- Prepare estimate summaries, bid analyses, general conditions, and budget reports
- Assist in the preparation and submission of competitive bid proposals
- Develop preliminary schedules and identify critical project milestones and sequencing
- Support preconstruction initiatives, budgeting efforts, and value engineering exercises
- Collaborate with operations and project teams throughout the preconstruction process
- Promote company culture, values, and commitment to quality and safety
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
- 4+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience within the construction industry
- Experience across a range of commercial construction sectors and project delivery methods
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, trade scopes, scheduling, and project risk analysis
- Proven ability to develop cost-saving and value engineering solutions while maintaining quality standards
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated knowledge of estimating best practices and preconstruction processes
