Job Title:
Construction Manager.
Start Date:
Immediate.
- Responsible for managing in-market construction team including any third-party vendors participating in the construction process.
- Interpret construction drawings and right-of-way plans and validate construction operations coincide with drafted plans.
- Lead the onboarding of new contractors including training in Gateway’s specifications & best-build practices.
- Work with all stakeholders to resolve construction related issues including but not limited to city officials & residents.
- Establish relationships with Utilities & Locating companies to ensure support and prevent locating bottlenecks.
- Interface with Gateway Fiber Engineering to resolve any discrepancies between design and field construction.
- Evaluate engineering change requests and work with engineering to implement.
- Track daily progress versus plan, escalating key obstacles and resource needs to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Ensure permits and easements required for construction are secured.
- Emergency management related to any network outages, including internal and external resources.

- 7+ years in telecom outside plant and/or construction experience.
- 3+ Years of leadership in an operational environment.
- Ability to lead through influence and balance needs of numerous stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong follow-up skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint and in a project management software application such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Operations Management, Project Management, Leadership, or related field required; additional certifications or educations are welcomed.
- Diligence, consistency, and quick decision-making ability.
