About The Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support restoration and commercial construction projects in the Livonia, MI area. This role is ideal for an early-career or developing construction professional who wants hands-on exposure to both office and field operations while building a strong foundation for future growth in Project Management.
The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to help coordinate documentation, track costs and schedules, support technical reviews, assist with procurement, and help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.

Responsibilities
The Project Engineer will:
- Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination from preconstruction through closeout
- Assist with project planning, including scope review, scheduling, budgeting, material procurement, and coordination of project resources
- Track project progress, production quantities, costs, schedules, and documentation for restoration and commercial construction projects
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents to understand scope, requirements, and technical expectations
- Assist with submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, document control, change orders, time-and-material work, and scope revisions
- Participate in job site walks, inspections, and progress reviews to help verify quality, productivity, safety compliance, and overall project execution
- Coordinate and expedite materials, equipment, subcontractor needs, and vendor support to keep field operations moving
- Communicate professionally with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, clients, and internal departments
- Help identify project risks, issues, conflicts, and coordination challenges, and elevate them appropriately to project leadership
- Gain valuable field and office experience while developing the technical, communication, and project management skills needed for long-term career advancement
