Job Description
Insurance Restoration Estimator / Xactimate Estimator
Location: Clinton Township, MI
We are a rapidly growing, full-service restoration company seeking an experienced Insurance Restoration Estimator to join our team. If you have a strong background in insurance claims, Xactimate estimating, and residential/commercial restoration, we'd like to speak with you.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships with customers and insurance professionals, and takes pride in writing accurate, detailed estimates.
Base Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 + commission bonuses
Responsibilities
- Inspect residential and commercial properties following water, fire, storm, mold, vehicle impact, and other property losses.
- Prepare accurate, detailed estimates using Xactimate
. - Create sketches, scopes of work, and photo documentation.
- Meet with homeowners, property managers, and commercial clients.
- Communicate and negotiate with insurance adjusters.
- Review insurance carrier estimates and prepare supplements when necessary.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure projects are properly scoped and handed off.
- Track estimate approvals and assist in converting opportunities into completed projects.
- Maintain organized documentation within company software.
- Respond to emergency losses when needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of insurance restoration estimating experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Xactimate (required).
- Experience with water, fire, storm, and reconstruction estimating.
- Strong understanding of insurance claims processes.
- Ability to read construction plans and perform accurate measurements.
- Ability and willingness to inspect residential and commercial roofs, including walking roofs and working at heights while using company-provided fall protection and safety equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- IICRC certifications are a plus but not required.
