Job Description

Insurance Restoration Estimator / Xactimate Estimator

Location: Clinton Township, MI

We are a rapidly growing, full-service restoration company seeking an experienced Insurance Restoration Estimator to join our team. If you have a strong background in insurance claims, Xactimate estimating, and residential/commercial restoration, we'd like to speak with you.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships with customers and insurance professionals, and takes pride in writing accurate, detailed estimates.

Base Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 + commission bonuses

Responsibilities

  • Inspect residential and commercial properties following water, fire, storm, mold, vehicle impact, and other property losses.
  • Prepare accurate, detailed estimates using Xactimate
    .
  • Create sketches, scopes of work, and photo documentation.
  • Meet with homeowners, property managers, and commercial clients.
  • Communicate and negotiate with insurance adjusters.
  • Review insurance carrier estimates and prepare supplements when necessary.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure projects are properly scoped and handed off.
  • Track estimate approvals and assist in converting opportunities into completed projects.
  • Maintain organized documentation within company software.
  • Respond to emergency losses when needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of insurance restoration estimating experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Xactimate (required).
  • Experience with water, fire, storm, and reconstruction estimating.
  • Strong understanding of insurance claims processes.
  • Ability to read construction plans and perform accurate measurements.
  • Ability and willingness to inspect residential and commercial roofs, including walking roofs and working at heights while using company-provided fall protection and safety equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • IICRC certifications are a plus but not required.
