We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate has a proven background working for a commercial electrical contractor or self-performing electrical company
, with experience managing multiple projects, leading cross-functional teams, and driving successful project execution.

Experience with
healthcare, higher education, institutional, and other large commercial projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial electrical construction projects from kickoff through final turnover.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, manpower forecasts, and execution strategies.
  • Monitor project financials, including forecasting, billing, labor productivity, cost control, committed costs, and profitability.
  • Coordinate superintendents, foremen, electricians, subcontractors, suppliers, and general contractors.
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation to ensure successful execution.
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, commissioning, and project closeout documentation.
  • Partner with estimating teams during project handoff and support seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with BIM/VDC teams to improve constructability, coordination, and installation planning.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain communication with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks early and implement solutions to minimize schedule and budget impacts.
  • Support field operations by ensuring crews have the resources and direction needed to meet production goals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and project partners.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial electrical construction.
  • Experience working for a commercial electrical contractor or self-performing electrical company is required.
  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, installation methods, construction sequencing, and field operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from startup through closeout.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, procurement, billing, labor management, change orders, and cost control.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
  • Experience developing manpower plans, procurement schedules, and project execution strategies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment while coordinating field and office teams.
  • Experience collaborating with estimating and BIM/VDC teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Financially driven with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Experience with healthcare, hospital, higher education, institutional, or other complex commercial projects is strongly preferred.
