Dykema Gossett PLLC, a leading national law firm, is recruiting for a Graphic Designer in our Detroit, MI office. The Graphic Designer is a creative, detail-oriented designer responsible for producing engaging visual content across digital, video, and print platforms. This role supports firmwide marketing, business development, recruiting, and communications initiatives through high-quality design, video production, and digital storytelling. The ideal candidate is a nimble designer with a modern aesthetic who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment and is excited to work across a variety of media – including video, animation, social content, presentations, and campaign assets.

Responsibilities
  • Design and produce high-quality digital and print assets, including marketing collateral, web and social media graphics, presentations, and communications campaigns.
  • Create and edit video content, including filming, editing, basic motion graphics, and post-production for web, social, and internal platforms.
  • Photo retouching and color correction on high-resolution assets.
  • Maintain brand consistency while bringing fresh creative ideas and visual solutions to projects.
  • Support firm initiatives including marketing campaigns, events, recruiting, thought leadership, and internal communications.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Graphic Designer to execute concepts efficiently and creatively.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Identify new tools, technologies, and workflows to enhance creative output and speed.
  • Maintain organized creative files and contribute to asset libraries and templates.
  • Stay current on design trends, digital platforms, and emerging creative tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 2 to 4+ years of professional design experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
  • Demonstrated experience creating digital graphics and video content.
  • Strong eye for layout, typography, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; works effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • A strong team orientation, collegial demeanor, and a willingness to do what is needed to accomplish tasks and team goals.
  • Good judgment, tact, professionalism and works well under pressure.
  • Strong video editing and production.
  • Strong graphic design and layout skills, including typography and color theory.
  • Visual storytelling.
  • Time management and adaptability.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented professional with a strong client service mindset.
  • Demonstrate good judgment, tact, and flexibility under pressure.
  • Tolerance for uncertainty and ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
