Dykema Gossett PLLC, a leading national law firm, is recruiting for a Graphic Designer in our Detroit, MI office. The Graphic Designer is a creative, detail-oriented designer responsible for producing engaging visual content across digital, video, and print platforms. This role supports firmwide marketing, business development, recruiting, and communications initiatives through high-quality design, video production, and digital storytelling. The ideal candidate is a nimble designer with a modern aesthetic who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment and is excited to work across a variety of media – including video, animation, social content, presentations, and campaign assets.
Responsibilities- Design and produce high-quality digital and print assets, including marketing collateral, web and social media graphics, presentations, and communications campaigns.
- Create and edit video content, including filming, editing, basic motion graphics, and post-production for web, social, and internal platforms.
- Photo retouching and color correction on high-resolution assets.
- Maintain brand consistency while bringing fresh creative ideas and visual solutions to projects.
- Support firm initiatives including marketing campaigns, events, recruiting, thought leadership, and internal communications.
- Collaborate with the Senior Graphic Designer to execute concepts efficiently and creatively.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Identify new tools, technologies, and workflows to enhance creative output and speed.
- Maintain organized creative files and contribute to asset libraries and templates.
- Stay current on design trends, digital platforms, and emerging creative tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field preferred.
- 2 to 4+ years of professional design experience.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
- Demonstrated experience creating digital graphics and video content.
- Strong eye for layout, typography, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; works effectively with individuals at all levels.
- A strong team orientation, collegial demeanor, and a willingness to do what is needed to accomplish tasks and team goals.
- Good judgment, tact, professionalism and works well under pressure.
- Strong video editing and production.
- Strong graphic design and layout skills, including typography and color theory.
- Visual storytelling.
- Time management and adaptability.
