Position Summary:

The Architectural Intern will be a currently enrolled architecture student pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; junior- or senior-level students are preferred. This internship is structured to provide substantive exposure to the daily operations of professional architectural practice and to foster an understanding of the collaborative design process.

As an Architectural Intern at Kingscott, you will be an integral member of our team and participate in the development of active projects across multiple phases while working closely with experienced architects and designers in a collaborative team environment that values mentorship, design rigor, and thoughtful execution. This internship opportunity provides hands-on experience, exposure to real-world projects, and opportunities to learn from experienced Architects in a multidisciplinary practice.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Project Support:
Assist team members in the successful execution of projects by conducting research, preparing reports, and contributing to project planning and management. Drafting support to Designers and Interior Designers on various projects working in AutoCAD. Revit and Sketch Up; prior experience in these programs required.
2. Data Analysis:
Collect and analyze data to help make informed decisions, generate insights, and support the development of data-driven strategies.
3. Administrative Tasks:
Perform general administrative duties, such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, managing departmental records, and coordinating, maintaining, organizing on-site Interiors library.

Collaboration:

Work closely with colleagues within your department and across other departments to achieve common goals and projects.
5. Learning and Development:
Attend training sessions, workshops, and team meetings to gain a better understanding of our industry and company operations.
6. Special Projects:
Participate in special projects that provide exposure to different aspects of our business and help you develop a well-rounded skill set.
7. Travel:
Must have ability to travel between 10 - 25% of the time for project needs; possibly including overnight stays. Must have ability to attend weekly office meetings and Interior Design discipline meetings; both remote and in-person in Chelsea Office or other office as needed.
As an intern at Kingscott, you will be an integral part of our team and will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks and projects. Your responsibilities may include:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist project teams with architectural research, documentation, and design support.

• Produce drawings, models, and presentation materials using AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketch Up.

• Support design development and construction documentation under the guidance of licensed architects.

• Attend project, client, and internal meetings; assist with note-taking and documentation as needed.

• Attend assessments, facility walk-throughs, final punch list, and field visit activities.

• Perform general administrative and organizational tasks in support of project delivery.

• Collaborate with team members across disciplines to meet project goals and deadlines.

• Participate in training sessions, studio meetings, and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited college or university; junior or senior standing preferred.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketch Up required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, or related software.
