Role Description

The Architect will work on-site in the Detroit Metropolitan Area in a full-time capacity, leading and contributing to architectural projects from concept through construction. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, producing architectural drawings and models, coordinating with engineers and consultants, and preparing documentation for permits and construction. The role involves participating in client meetings, gathering requirements, and translating client needs into practical and creative design solutions.

The Architect will also support project management activities such as scheduling, maintaining project documentation, and assisting in coordination with contractors during construction. Collaboration with internal team members to ensure design quality, code compliance, and timely project delivery is an essential part of this role.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, space planning, and knowledge of building codes.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Software Development and Integration as they relate to architectural workflows, such as using design software and integrating digital tools into project processes.
  • Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including task coordination, timeline management, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, or similar) is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a closely related field; professional licensure or progress toward licensure is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
  • Experience with sustainable design practices, local building regulations, and construction administration in the Detroit Metropolitan Area is an advantage.
