Covenant Community Care, is a faith-based charitable non-profit Community Health Center serving the people of Metro Detroit, as a Federally Qualified Health Center offering integrated medical, dental, and counseling healthcare services to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. We have a full-time employment opportunity for an experienced Physician that specializes in OBGYN care.
Job DescriptionClinic care includes the delivery of quality OBGYN health care to patients. Providers must be able to function effectively as part of a professional team delivering healthcare in a community setting and have demonstrated abilities for working in a multi-cultural setting. The ideal candidate will be flexible, customer service-oriented, dependable, organized, compassionate, and a team player.
Responsibilities- Delivers high-quality obstetric and gynecologic health services, ensuring continuity of care throughout pregnancy, reproductive health, and gynecologic management, and making appropriate referrals to other healthcare providers to support the comprehensive needs of patients seen in the outpatient environment.
- Conduct physical exams and medical histories
- Prescribe medications and treatments
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Provide patient education and counseling on health and wellness
- Precepts midlevel providers as necessary, and cosigns notes as required for mid-level providers and all trainees that interact with provider’s patients or during provider’s actual clinic time
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Current state medical license
- Board certification in primary care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
