Required Qualifications &

Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

* Current and valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with 6-12 Social Studies (RX) Endorsement.

* Proven ability to manage a diverse classroom effectively, fostering a respectful and productive learning environment.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.

* Skilled in conflict resolution and positive discipline techniques.

* Proficient in educational technology tools such as Google Classroom, SMART Boards, and educational apps.

* Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.

* Strong organizational skills for managing classroom activities and maintaining accurate student records.

* Self-motivated and capable of motivating others towards academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement dynamic, standards-aligned lesson plans utilizing diverse teaching techniques (e.g., project-based learning, digital resources, field trips) to engage 9-12 students.

* Cultivate a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment through effective behavior management and individualized student support.

* Monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and standardized assessments, providing constructive feedback and tailored academic assistance.

* Maintain open and consistent communication with parents regarding student academic performance, attendance, and social development.

* Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to enhance curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to a cohesive educational team.

* Ensure a safe, secure, and healthy educational environment by establishing and enforcing classroom procedures and complying with legal regulations.

* Participate in professional development opportunities, faculty meetings, and professional organizations to continuously update job knowledge and teaching methodologies.
