We are seeking qualified and motivated teachers for 2024 - 2025 to help us transform our students into world class leaders.

Job Description

* The ability to plan, create and deliver and/or follow lesson plans

* Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and test

* Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment

* Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development

* Provide a structured learning atmosphere

* Maintaining positive environment in the classroom

* Monitor student attendance and behavior

* Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings

* The ability to develop positive working relationships with students, administrators and staff

Requirements

* B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution

* Must have a Michigan Teaching Certification in corresponding subject area

* Thorough knowledge of Michigan Common Core Curriculum

* Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software

* Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

* Experience working in a culturally diverse setting

* Ability to work independently and within a team environment

* Flexible open minded, self-driven team member

Preferred Experience

* Some background in African Centered Education

* Some experience in methodology in African Principles
