QUALIFICATIONS:

* Meets Highly Qualified Requirements

* Demonstrated interest in children and education.

* Evidence of emotional maturity and stability.

* Experience in working with special needs children preferred.

* Ability to encourage positive student behavior.

* Knowledgeable in behavior management, techniques and data collection.

* Such additional qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO:

Principal and Teacher

JOB GOAL:
Work closely with students to provide positive behavioral, emotional, and instructional support so students may progress toward goals.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Demonstrate appropriate school and work behaviors.

* Assists ancillary and certified staff in planning, delivery, and evaluation of services and instruction.

* Contributes in the development of IFSP and IEP for students.

* Contribute to management and modification of student positive behavior plan.

* Performs specialized instructional, healthcare, therapeutic and self help activities.

* Keep accurate records as required.

* Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist student growth.

* Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the teacher and principal.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Student Days Only

Full Day 8:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday (7.50 hrs/day; 37.50 hrs/week)

E1 starting wage is $15.72/hr no Health or Life Insurance Benefits with this position.
