- Noon Hour Aide
Job Description: Montessori Noon Hour Aide will sit with the students for a family style meal to encourage conversation and discussions about the food. Montessori Noon Hour Aide must clean and sanitize tables and food prep area according to state law standards. Montessori Noon Hour Aide will assist with escorting and monitoring students during lunch period and outside recess.

Position Summary:
The Montessori Noon Hour Aide will sit with the students for a family style meal to encourage conversation and discussions about the food. Montessori Noon Hour Aide must clean and sanitize tables and food prep area according to state law standards. Montessori Noon Hour Aide will assist with escorting and monitoring students during lunch period and outside recess.
- Must possess and provide evidence of high school diploma or GED certification.
- Experience working with large groups of people, especially prekindergarten students preferred.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills; ability to be flexible.
- Good mediation and conflict resolution skills a plus.
- Provide coverage in the prekindergarten classroom and during lunch with minimum supervision.
- Prepare food in serving containers for the students to serve themselves.
- Support students as they set the table and as they clean up after the meal.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with students.
- Assist students with setting cots out for rest-time.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, parents, visitors, and the community.
- Clean the refrigerator weekly.
- Rotate foods (using older foods first).
- Clean and sanitize tables and food prep area.
- Attend all city-wide in-service activities and sessions related to your job description.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
