Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher to support secondary students in a self-contained classroom setting in Detroit, MI. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support to students with significant cognitive, developmental, and behavioral disabilities, ensuring they receive a tailored educational experience that fosters growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored educational instruction to meet the unique needs of students with significant disabilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with an advisory support team to enhance student progress
- Monitor and assess student performance and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Active Michigan Special Education teaching license
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening
