- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with disabilities, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, or visual impairments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals.
- Utilize learning technology and instructional design principles to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and behavioral therapy strategies.
- Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing, formative assessments, and observational data; adjust instruction accordingly.
- Provide mentorship and support to students, fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Knowledge and experience in classroom management and lesson planning across various age groups and educational settings.
- Knowledge of special education practices, including working with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and early intervention programs.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, caregivers, and specialists.
- Ability to implement behavioral health strategies and applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques effectively.
- Experience with instructional design, tutoring, standardized testing preparation, and academic advising is highly desirable.
$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 base pay
