Track & Field Graduate Assistant

The University of Detroit Mercy, Michigan’s largest, most comprehensive private university, is currently accepting applications for the Track & Field Graduate Assistant. Detroit Mercy is an NCAA Division I institution that sponsors 17 varsity sports that compete primarily in the Horizon League.

• Assist in the daily operations of the Track & Field program.
• Assist the coaching staff in teaching proper event techniques and competition strategies, abiding by the rules of the sport, NCAA, and Horizon League.
• Assist the coaching staff with supervision of practices and training programs for student‑athletes as needed.
• Aid in the Track & Field recruiting process.
• Assist with travel arrangements and special events.

• Creative self‑starter with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to work long days that include travel.
• Good sense of humor with the passion to compete and create a winning program.
• Accepted into a graduate program at the University of Detroit Mercy.
