Teach courses in Geography based on instructor's qualifications. Adjunct instructor positions are part-time. Teaching assignments will vary from semester to semester and are based on enrollment, and there may be semesters with no assignments available.
Position SummaryCurrent need is for instructors to teach in the Corrections Education Program (CEP) in St. Louis. CEP courses are taught face-to-face within correctional institutions and require additional background screening for clearance from the State of Michigan Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN).
Responsibilities- Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers.
- Prepare and deliver instructional materials - syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts - in person and/or online.
- Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
- Compile, administer, and grade examinations.
- Participate in required reporting processes (e.g., grades, participation).
- Assist students in connecting to college resources.
Master's degree or higher in Geography, or a Master's degree or higher in another field with 18 graduate credits in Geography.
Legal and Employment Requirements- Completion of background screening and clearance from the State of Michigan LEIN.
