Under the direction of the Service Delivery Manager and Academic Specialist, the Spanish Instructor demonstrates commitment and passion to quality language instruction and education, representing as an expert in teaching and ambassador for Berlitz. Responsibilities include teaching the required languages to assigned classes of students and providing student support in accordance with Berlitz teaching and customer service principles. The instructor also participates in professional development courses and activities, ensuring familiarity with goal‑oriented, student‑centered instruction.

• Deliver lessons in accordance with Berlitz teaching principles: focusing on the goals, needs, and interests of students.
• Conduct level assessments and needs-analyses as assigned by the Service Delivery Manager or Academic Specialist.
• Work with private and group students at the Learning Center, one of our off‑site locations or virtually, as assigned.
• Meet with the Academic Specialist regularly to participate in lesson evaluation and coaching plans to strengthen teaching skills and ensure SMART goals are met.
• Complete training and professional development modules in the Berlitz Learning website and/or face‑to‑face live sessions, as assigned.
• Keep student pedagogical and attendance records up to date.
• Integrate learning technology into teaching programs and maintain shared teaching resource materials.
• Perform duties as deemed appropriate for proper execution and delegated by the Service Delivery Manager or Academic Specialist.

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Four‑year college/university degree or equivalent.
• Fluent in Spanish (and English).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible with working hours and able to take initiative and work independently.
• Availability during the day.

Description:

4‑week summer program

$40.00 per hour

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
